# iOS App

> AppFlowy for iOS - Install, use, and customize your mobile workspace

## Overview

AppFlowy for iOS brings the full power of your collaborative workspace to your iPhone and iPad. Work on documents, manage databases, and stay productive on the go with native iOS features and optimizations.

## Installation

<Steps>
  <Step title="Download from the App Store">
    Open the App Store on your iOS device and search for "AppFlowy" or visit the [AppFlowy App Store page](https://apps.apple.com/app/appflowy).

  <Step title="Install the app">
    Tap **Get** to download and install AppFlowy. The app is free to download.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Sign in or create an account">
    Launch AppFlowy and sign in with your existing account or create a new one.

    **iOS In-App Sign-In** (v0.9.5+): Sign in directly within the iOS app using:

    * Email and password
    * Magic link
    * One-Time Password (OTP)
    * Apple Sign-In

    Your workspace will sync automatically. Access all your documents, databases, and shared pages.

## iOS-Specific Features

### Home Screen Widgets

AppFlowy offers three powerful widgets to access your content instantly from your iOS home screen:

### Share to AppFlowy

**iOS Share Extension** (v0.9.9+) allows you to save content from Safari and other apps directly to AppFlowy:

  <Step title="Open Safari or any app">
    Navigate to the web page or content you want to save.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Tap the Share button">
    Tap the iOS Share button (square with arrow pointing up).
  </Step>

  <Step title="Select AppFlowy">
    Choose **AppFlowy** from the share sheet. You may need to scroll and tap **More** to find it.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Add notes (optional)">
    Add optional notes or context to the saved link.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Choose destination">
    Select which AppFlowy page should receive the link.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Save">
    Tap **Save** to add the link to your chosen page.
  </Step>

## Troubleshooting

### App won't sync

1. Check your internet connection
2. Look for the network indicator in the app
3. Try closing and reopening the app
4. Sign out and sign back in

### Share extension not appearing

1. Open iOS Share sheet
2. Scroll to the end and tap **Edit Actions**
3. Enable **AppFlowy**
4. Drag it to your preferred position

### Widget not updating

1. Remove the widget from your home screen
2. Re-add the widget
3. Ensure AppFlowy has background refresh enabled in iOS Settings
